Recognition and acknowledgment in the workplace should never be gone. They help keep an optimistic attitude and make everyone work harder, aware that they are recognized and treasured. It also serves as his inspiration to continue the great work that he is doing.

Plaques can be a source of pride for the staffer, which is what it precisely should be. He can display it in his office room for everyone to see or bring it home to be proudly shown to his family and friends.

We all need the proverbial pat on the back. We need to feel better at work in order to function better. It doesn’t mean that we can only function if we get praise, but work becomes so much simpler when everyone knows we are doing a great work.

As good as it is, companies can do something more than just grant employees a pat on the shoulder to further morale in this day and age of dispirited and inattentive work force.
