T-Shirt Printing Birmingham: Which Is The Right Printing Method?

We often get asked questions about our t-shirt printing service, so I decided to write this series of articles to explain the answers to the most common ones in more details. You might also find it useful to check out our FAQ which answers all of the essential info.

What Types Of T-Shirt Printing Do You Do?

This is a good question because there are many different ways of printing a t-shirt, and some will fit your requirements better than others. I always answer this question with another more to-the-point question: “What would you like to print onto your t-shirts?”. Armed with this info I can then tell you about the best method of printing to suit your needs.

Vinyl is a low cost economical method of printing smaller runs of t-shirts. If you need, say, 20 t-shirts or less, and you don’t need too many colours, vinyl is probably right for you. It’s best for single colour text-online prints.

If you’re having the same print front & back, screen printing can also be economical. Screen printing is usually the most economically priced method of t-shirt printing if you need 20 t-shirts or more printed with the same design. There is usually an initial setup cost associated with the creation of the original “screen” to print from, and the cost of each reproduction is significantly cheaper than using vinyl. Screen printing does take a little longer because we do it off-site at a unit in Pershore, away from Birmingham City Centre (where our shop is located). We usually advise a turnaround time of 1 week on this type of printing.

Some customers come to use with a photograph that they would like to have printed onto a t-shirt. This is done using our high quality A4 sized transfers which are printed on the colour laser printer and then heat pressed onto the garment. The result is a vibrant reproduction which is very durable. This job usually takes just a few minutes, although you should allow around about an hour if the shop is busy.

Hopefully this article will have answered any questions you have about which t-shirt printing methods we use at T-Shirt Central. If you’d like to know more, please feel free to contact us.

Looking For A Shop That Does T-Shirt Printing In Birmingham?

It used to be pretty tricky to find a good, reliable shop that does T-Shirt Printing in Birmingham. Until recently, that is. Part of the problem was that the few shops that did offer t-shirt printing had really very poor websites, not giving enough information about what they could actually print, and how much it costs. Add to this the fact that most of the companies offering this service were located far from the city centre and you can see why it was always so difficult to actually get t-shirts printed.

Nowadays there are lots of t-shirt printing establishments, who are more more accessible and it’s easier to place an order now than ever before.

Thanks to advances in garment printing technology, you can now get t-shirts and other items of clothing printed quickly and cheaply. Whether you have a logo, image or just some simple wording you would like to get printed, it’s never a problem any more. Getting t-shirts printed for a stag or hen party, or for your business, is a very straightforward process.

You might be wondering what the print quality is going to be like, especially if in the past you’ve seen examples of lettering “peeling off” clothing that has been washed too many times. Well you’ll be happy to learn that the actual print used in modern garment printing is a lot more durable than it used to be. The vinyl used by most reputable t-shirt printing shops is extremely wash-resistant, so you can be sure your garments will stay looking great for a long time.

Gone are the days of struggling to find a decent shop that offers t-shirt printing in Birmingham. With modern printing methods, easy-to-use websites and more efficient processes, it’s easy to get clothing printed with whatever you might need, and for any purpose.
