Business cards are the worst tool for your business

The internet and social media have really helped us be better marketers but few have payed attention to one of the oldest tools we have, the business card. From their earliest ages, business cards have been used, however many still carry cards that have nothing unique

Take your business card out of your pocket. What’s on the card? Your Name, phone number, your logo, your address, maybe a picture of yourself, and other than these few things there’s nothing that will really give someone an incentive to keep your card.

While they are an important part of today’s business, how many of the cards you get really get your attention? Are you still using a rotary phone? Well, dig out yours as it might just be a rotary phone. A few simple adjustments to what you’ve got on it will not only make you stand out, but it can even drive traffic to your business.

Do you get stuck in the deck? People network and get 8,10, 12 and you find that these decks all look the same. I’d like to immediately suggest that you move to a shape that will give you all the attention. What about having as round, square or even a star shaped piece that not only shows you are a marketer, but also show you’re different from your competition
