The cost of producing printed materials has been falling drastically due to the declining costs of technology required to make them. Small businesses have taken advantage of others.

A while back, you needed to sweat to simply pull customers to let you make for them brochures. Designing it alone would cost so much money. Today however, printer technology has evolved to allow personal design works and programs for individual designers are now plenty.

More stable businesses that will have hundreds of workers are able to hire a different brochure design company to do the layout. This costs a lot of money.

There is no malice in the prices set by those design companies. This is not to say that they are the only option available when you require brochures done. A smaller business or a startup may have fewer resources than what is required. There are different routes and cheaper ones for that.

You should immediately start by looking for an individual designer who will get you sorted at a smaller fee. The advantage of going for a smaller business to do that is that there is a likelihood that it is a startup business therefore are putting up attractive rates to get there office floors busy. Negotiate how much you can afford and strike a deal.

You can also dictate terms. You do not have to let the business design and print the brochure. Let them design and then print the design yourself if you have access to a personal printer. You will save much because these days, doing a color print is much easier and cheaper than a while back.

The least expensive alternative you have is to buy software that will help you design the brochure yourself. This will instruct you on the basics and you will be able to come up with something decent, as much as it sounds impossible at first.

This said, it is obvious that you do not have to waste a lot of time outside the office looking for a solution to your printed marketing materials campaign.
