As soon as marriage proposal is accepted, preparing for this important event starts in earnest. There are many fine points that have to be harmonized for a day that goes smoothly. Wedding invites are perhaps a good place to start as these need to go out as other arrangements are finalized.

These invitation cards are one of the details to be arranged. Before choosing the paper that will be used, choose the design and let this be your guide. The design is the starting point as it sets the tone for the event, being the first impression of the upcoming event guests will come across.

Choose a design depending on the kind of event that you will be hosting. If it will be a stately, formal affair, reflect this with invitation cards that are understated. Go for neutral colored paper like gold, silver or shades of white perhaps with a matching ribbon but too many decorations. For a less formal ceremony such as a beach or garden wedding, you have a free hand with the colors and design for the invites which can be as colorful and bright as you wish.

Having chosen a design, you can then choose which paper stock to go for. One choice is card stock is affordable and attractive, especially high quality paper stock in the form of vellum, linen and smooth finish. Choose paper of between 165 to 300 grams if you are mailing many invitations as these only require a single stamp.

Another option is to get blank wedding invitations that one personalizes with details and graphics. This can even be done on a computer. The blanks come in all colors to that they can be coordinated with the main colors of the wedding. They also come in neutral colors like white, silver grey and gold. Envelopes for the cards are also provided to match the invitations. This is a very cost-effective option for those on a tight budget as they are made using card stock paper which is quite inexpensive compared to premium paper.

You may also decide to go all out and go for the unusual by using rarely used kinds of paper; patterned paper, embossed paper, decorative paper and even scrapbooking paper can be used. There are hundreds types of paper that can be used to make wedding invitation cards.

When them wedding bells start to ring, it’s time to get the card stock and paper for them invitations and we can help you.
